
According to the commander of the Ground Forces, the mercenaries of the PMC “Wagner” throw their best-trained units on the assault in order to break through the Ukrainian defenses.
The commander of the Ground Forces – the commander of the eastern direction, Colonel-General Alexander Syrsky, said that the situation around Bakhmut is becoming more tense. This was reported by the press service of the Ground Forces on Facebook.
As of February 28, the situation in Bakhmut, according to Alexander Syrsky, is extremely tense. The invaders, despite significant losses, continue the assault. The mercenaries of PMC “Wagner” attack the most trained assault squads. They are trying to break through the Ukrainian defenses and surround the city.
“In the battles for Bakhmut, our soldiers show quantitative examples of resilience, courage and heroism,” Syrsky emphasized.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, in his traditional address on the evening of February 27, also noted that the situation in the Bakhmut region is becoming more complicated. Russian troops are trying to destroy all the fortified positions of the Defense Forces in order to advance in the city.
Recall that on February 27, the commander of the Madyar aerial reconnaissance group said that the invaders want to encircle Bakhmut. Assault actions do not stop.
