The premium crossover Range Rover Evoque has got a version with a long wheelbase. It received an L index and will be sold in the Chinese car market, where such cars are very popular. The car will be five-door, but three-door coupes will no longer be sold. The production of new cars was entrusted to the Chery Jaguar Land Rover plant, which is located in China.
The length of the novelty is 4,531 mm, but the size of the wheelbase is striking – it reaches 2,841 mm, which is one of the best indicators in the class. At the same time, it is already known that the main increase in space has turned out for the rear passengers, who will now feel as comfortable as possible.
In addition, the backrests of the rear seats can now be adjusted using an electric drive, the control unit for which was placed in the rear doors.
A 2.0-liter turbo engine is used as the power plant, which is capable of delivering 249 hp.
It is also supplemented with a 48 V starter-generator. All four wheels will be driving, and due to the new 9-speed automatic transmission, gasoline consumption will be at a very low level. The implementation of the new car will begin in July this year, the most affordable version will cost 61 thousand dollars
Meanwhile, it became known that the new BMW 7-Series will debut at the Munich Motor Show. Representatives of the brand are confident that the car will become the best in its class.
