The 2015 low-mileage Porsche 918 Spyder supercar is up for auction in the UK. The bright yellow car was estimated at £ 895,000 or $ 1.2 million.
At one time, Porsche built only 918 examples of its hybrid hypercar. The car, which became the lot of the auction, is numbered 238. The body of this supercar is painted in yellow under the name “Racing Yellow”.
The previous owner received the car through Porsche Center Hong Kong in January 2015. In 2019, the supercar made it to the UK, where it was regularly serviced by local Porsche dealers, says RM Sotheby’s.
The car has passed pre-sale preparation, and its mileage is only 1,429 miles (almost 2.3 thousand km). The original owner ordered a car with carbon fiber side mirrors and removable roof panels and rear fender. The car was also equipped with an optional front axle lift system, full leather sports seats and steering wheel, anti-glare system, Burmester audio system and carbon-fiber trim in the cabin, as well as bold acid green accents.
The 918 Spyder supercar was produced from September 2013 to June 2015. It has been named the successor to the Carrera GT.
The model is powered by a 4.6-liter naturally aspirated V8 with 599 hp.
Additional power is provided by two electric motors, one on the front axle and one on the rear axle. With them, the total power rises to 875 hp. and 1280 Nm.
