According to Zelensky, the Armed Forces of Ukraine need artillery systems, tanks and aircraft. It is necessary to start training Ukrainian pilots
President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine needed artillery systems and shells. He said this at a joint press conference with Latvian President Egils Levits.
“There are no more secrets about what weapons we have, what weapons they have. There are no more secrets about what is there in Russia. Everyone understands that there is not such a strong army, there are just a lot of people who absolutely do not feel sorry for their leadership,” the president said.
According to him, in addition to artillery, Ukraine needs aircraft. We need to start training missions for Ukrainian pilots. He noted that with this Kyiv is being helped in the UK and Poland. Lithuania and Latvia could also contribute to this.
Zelensky also noted that a tank coalition has already been formed, and therefore he is confident that Ukraine will receive a tank army.
The head of state said that Ukraine needs artillery, aircraft and tanks not to strike at the territory of Russia, but to expel Russian troops.
“There is a corresponding deficit. That’s all. We just need to close these holes, that’s what can help us. And also the faith in victory is the same as we have. And then we will win,” Zelensky said.

It should be noted that the President of Latvia said that the country allocated military assistance to Ukraine for 1% of its GDP. The Allies continue to work to find a way to send even more weapons and equipment to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Egils Levits noted.
Earlier, Zelensky signed decrees on new sanctions against Russia. So far, the details have not been published, but the restrictions, among other things, will affect those involved in the abductions of Ukrainian children.
In Latvia, they told what the creation of a tribunal for the Russian Federation depends on. Kyiv was assured in Riga that not a single crime of the Russian occupiers would go unpunished, but this takes time.
