In the area of Belogorivka, Kremennaya and Svatovo, as the head of the Lugansk OVA Serhiy Gaidai, a difficult situation has developed. However, by the end of the slush, the Defense Forces will be able to move from a deaf defense to a counteroffensive.
Ukrainian soldiers of the Defense Forces continue to repel enemy attacks in the Lugansk region, where a difficult situation has developed. However, in two or three weeks the Armed Forces will be able to gather reserves in order to launch a counteroffensive. This was announced on March 13 by the head of the regional military administration of the Lugansk region, Sergei Gaidai.
According to the head of the OVA, the Ukrainian defenders continue to hold their positions and repel enemy attacks in the area of Belogorovka, Svatovo and Kremennaya.
“I can say that we have a rather difficult situation there, especially in the direction of Kremennaya and Belogorovka, because the Russian occupying forces have concentrated their maximum efforts precisely there. They are constantly throwing new reserves into the offensive there,” Gaidai said.
He separately noted the situation near Kremennaya. According to him, the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are being stormed by personnel units of the Russian army, which are armed with modern models, such as the T-90M Proryv and BMPT Terminator tanks. However, recently the occupiers have begun to use older T-72 tanks, and only one vehicle remained from the Terminators, Gaidai specified.
The head of the administration believes that the current weather conditions, which prevent the enemy from moving forward, play into the hands of the Ukrainian fighters. And therefore, within two to three weeks, by the time the thaw ends, the Ukrainian forces will be able to accumulate the necessary reserve in order to launch a counteroffensive.
Recall that in early February, footage of the destruction of the Russian Terminator tank support combat vehicle appeared on the network. The footage showed that three hits were made on the equipment – the last shell hit the target exactly, after which the Terminator blew up and caught fire.
Earlier, Gaidai also said that the Russian invaders had transferred the latest T-90 tanks to the front line in the Lugansk region. But two weeks later, the invaders moved to the T-72.
