The journalists published a detailed video overview showing the premium French DS 9 sedan. The car costs at least 4,230,823 rubles. and is offered in two basic trim levels.
While most car companies are keen to release as many crossovers and SUVs as possible, thereby trying to please buyers who are increasingly preferring these particular segments of the car market, the French premium brand DS decided to introduce a sedan.
Although closely related to the Peugeot 508 midsize sedan, the DS 9 is actually based on its long-wheelbase L-version and is positioned as a car in a class higher. This means it is an executive model that is designed to compete with the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 5-Series, Jaguar XF and Audi A6.
The spiritual successor to the Citroen C6, which is the DS 9, is unlike its German counterparts on the inside, as its design is similar to other DS models.
The interior of the car has leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front and rear seats with massage function, a night vision camera, an automatic parking assistance system and second-level semi-autonomous driving capabilities. The list of options also includes a smart suspension that helps smooth out bumps in the road. The sedan is also offered with smart headlights.
The DS offers the 9 sedan with a 225hp PureTech four-cylinder petrol engine as well as two 225hp or 335hp E-Tense plug-in hybrid motors, the latter of which comes with all-wheel drive.
In the UK, the 2021 DS 9 premium sedan is available in two trim levels. The base Performance Line + can be offered with a petrol engine starting at £ 40,615 and the PHEV Performance Line + with 225 hp. costs from £ 46,100. The next Rivoli + trim starts at £ 44,715 with a gasoline engine, and with a plug-in hybrid, prices rise to £ 49,200.
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that Citroen is returning to the D segment with the new C5 X. The new Citroen C5 X marks the return of the French brand to the segment of roomy and spacious cars, from which it disappeared for two years.
