It takes up to two weeks to stabilize the situation in the Zhytomyr region, and several days in the Kharkiv region. The equipment, which had already been repaired after the shelling, was damaged in places.
As a result of enemy shelling of the energy infrastructure, the situation with electricity is difficult in several regions: repair work continues in the Kharkiv and Zhytomyr regions, and planned shutdowns have been introduced in the Odessa region. This was reported in NPC “Ukrenergo”.
Ukrenergo said that the most difficult situation is now in the Kharkiv and Zhytomyr regions.
In the Zhytomyr region, the power supply of critical infrastructure was resumed, but the repair of main and distribution networks continues. Zhytomyr OVA, mayor Sergei Sukhomlin, and the management of Zhytomiroblenergo JSC held a joint meeting with Vladimir Kudritsky, chairman of the board of NEK.
“Enemy shelling damaged equipment that had been repaired after the previous three terrorist attacks on Ukrenergo facilities in the Zhytomyr region. In total, as a result of four massive attacks on the energy infrastructure in the region, there were 6 missile hits and 3 UAVs,” the power engineers said.
Repair work in the Zhytomyr region will last up to two weeks. Planned blackouts are introduced in the region.
In the Kharkiv region, the supply of critical infrastructure has already been resumed. The energy supply situation in this region is hoped to stabilize within a few days.
In the Odessa region, planned blackouts have been introduced, while in the Dnepropetrovsk region there are no network restrictions. The power supply of the Zaporizhzhya NPP, which was interrupted due to an enemy attack, has been resumed.
Recall that on the night of March 9, the Russian Armed Forces attacked Ukrainian energy facilities. As reported by DTEK, the enemy managed to damage three thermal power plants of DTEK Energo.
Vladimir Skichko, head of the Information Policy and Consumer Relations Department of Kharkovoblenergo, said that Kharkov was completely de-energized as a result of the shelling. Mayor Igor Terekhov shared that he hopes to restore tension in the region through joint efforts.
Later, the head of the regional military administration, Oleg Sinegubov, said that the enemy had inflicted at least 15 attacks on the Kharkiv region with S-300 missiles. Of these, 11 were in Kharkov. Thermal power plants and transformer substations were destroyed in the city.
