Russian media reported that the victim refused to pay the suspect for services. On the basis of this, a conflict arose, because of which the suspect killed a Russian scientist.
Andrey Botikov, one of the creators of the Russian coronavirus vaccine Sputnik V, was killed by a lover whom the victim called to her home. This was reported by the Russian Telegram channel 112
It is reported that the killer is a certain Aleksey, who had previously served 10 years in prison for kidnapping, and after he was released, he began to provide services of an intimate nature. He came to the victim with a girlfriend, whom he left in the entrance to wait.
The channel writes that after receiving sexual services from Alexei, Botikov refused to pay him. It was then that the suspect decided to strangle the Russian scientist. Then he finished him off with a knife. After the massacre, the suspect took valuables and fled the scene of the crime with his girlfriend. He told her what he had done, but she did not report it to the police.
The next day, colleagues noticed that Andrei Botikov did not come to work in the laboratory. They decided to contact the police, who found the victim’s body in his own apartment. The suspect Alexei was also promptly detained.
