It is reported that the beating of a soldier was arranged by the head of one of the training centers for military personnel in the Zhytomyr region, Viktor Vitusevich.
On the audio, he is heard using obscene language to scold the soldier because he “took the colonel while he was drinking.”
The exact reason for beating the soldier is unknown, but after the video was made public, the commander featured on it recorded an apology. He said that he was engaged in assault due to the fact that the soldier was allegedly intoxicated.
“I am ready to be punished, but I want to say that alcohol is unacceptable in the army, it is a risk to life at the front and for the entire unit, wherever it is – in exercises or in the combat area. I will be responsible for my actions,” – he said.
In social networks, they write that the military leadership in Kyiv became aware of the incident.
