In the spring of 2023, the new generation Hyundai Solaris will debut. The manufacturer has published an official teaser for the Indian market, where the model is called Verna. Next, photos with a completely declassified exterior appeared on the Web.
So, the new Hyundai Solaris (Verna or Accent in some markets) will get a completely new exterior design, like the older Grandeur models or the Staria minivan. A distinctive feature is the LED strip across the entire width of the front, and under it the main optics. True, if on expensive models of the brand the diode strip is solid, then on the “state employees” it consists of several parts.

Interestingly, the new generation Hyundai Solaris 2023 engine range will receive a relatively powerful 160 hp and 260 Hm petrol turbo engine for this class, equipped with a “robot” or manual transmission. The second unit will be the former aspirated (113 hp and 144 Hm).
Sales of the new generation in India should begin before the end of spring 2023. In Russia, in the near future, the new Solaris is not worth waiting for, more precisely, it will not be officially delivered, only through “gray” dealers without a guarantee.

The Korean automaker Hyundai has confirmed rumors about the start of production of sedans, known in Russia as Solaris. The Indian Hyundai plant, which is going to export most of its products, will be producing new generation cars.
In the local market, such cars will receive Verna emblems, for some countries it will be Accent, for others – Solaris, and these cars will be united by a new design, new equipment, and in general the “budget” family will make another evolutionary leap.
Solaris/Verna/Accent 2023 is already the seventh generation of the popular model, which today finds good demand in the Middle East and Latin America.
The Indian market is not the largest for her now (20 thousand cars sold in 2022), but the production volumes of the local enterprise are not the largest for the model called “mass” – up to 70 thousand cars a year. The launch of the conveyor is scheduled for March, but information about the versions that will appear on the market first has not yet been disclosed.
External design

It is expected that the new generation sedan will completely change the image. So, a radiator grille with a rather intricate “pattern” of the grid will appear on the front of the body, and a strip of DRL will stretch over it to the full width, as on the current version of the Hyundai Grandeur flagship sedan.
The main blocks of the headlights will be lower, the hood will take on a more embossed shape, and new stampings will appear on the sidewalls. A radical change in design will also take place at the stern, where the optics will be united by a luminous strip. In addition, in profile, the line of the rear window and trunk will become more sloping.

Inside the 2023 Hyundai Solaris sedan, there will be a new front fascia. From now on, the “state employee” will be able to boast a large multimedia cluster, consisting of a pair of displays under one glass. Most likely, the final version of the architecture will be the same as on the Elantra liftback, and a less status sedan can get a similar climate control panel, and the same configuration of the elements of the airflow and interior ventilation system.

If there are still questions about the exterior and interior of the new car, then there are almost none on the technical side. The range of available engines for Indian-built cars will include a naturally aspirated 1.5 MPI unit and a four-cylinder T-GDI turbo engine of the same size.
