Mercedes-Benz does not waste a minute. Following the restyling of the E-Class and the launch of the new C-Class, the star manufacturer is working on the all-new E-Class which could be launched in 2023-2024. Here are the first photos of this generation, which as you can clearly see from these photos, looks a lot like the outgoing generation, at least, its silhouette is identical.
A conservative design
It is curious to see that the manufacturer of Stuttgart has a different approach from its competitor BMW which tries somehow to push the limits by trying to transform its cars. We saw it with the XXL grille of the BMW M3 and M4, as well as the two-stage optics of the XM concept.
Mercedes-Benz has a more conservative approach, in fact, the changes from one generation to the next are less radical. He does not want to rush his customers, and simply tries to improve his products over and over again. The recipe seems to work, so why change it?
If the exterior of the new E-Class evolves smoothly, the interior will undoubtedly be different. Everything suggests that it will look like the one in the luxurious S-Class, but at the moment we have no photos of it.
What engines?
Regarding engines, Mercedes will not stop its internal combustion engines overnight. It will continue to sell these engines while ensuring that they are “clean” and respectful of the environment. Of course, those who wish can opt for a 100% electric version by choosing the EQE.
It is difficult to determine with precision the thermal and hybrid powertrains that will be available. But its launch is not for now, so we have plenty of time to talk about it again. Until then, Mercedes-Benz will continue to develop its sedan (which will also be launched as a station wagon), and we will not hesitate to offer you spy photos with new information.
