There were three tourists in the car.
On Lake Baikal, near Hunuk Island, a Subaru with three tourists fell through the ice. They were driving along an unofficial road that runs from Cape Tonkiy to Irkutsk.
The driver lost his way due to bad weather. Near the island of Hunuk, at a distance of about 100 m from the coast, the car fell through the ice. Its thickness in this place is only 5–10 cm.
Tourists were able to get on the roof of the car and call the rescuers, who successfully evacuated them. What fate befell the car (whether they got it or not) is not reported.
