According to the Ukrainian president, most people in Kharkiv were left without electricity and there are problems with the Internet. And in Zaporizhia, power engineers are doing everything possible to protect the city’s energy system.
After a new massive shelling of Ukraine on March 9, problems with electricity still persist in some cities. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during an evening address to Ukrainians on the evening of March 10.
“All day long I received reports on the restoration of energy facilities after the Russian terrorist attack,” the President of Ukraine said.
According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the most difficult situation with energy supply remains in Kharkiv. There are still many citizens there whose apartments and houses cannot be connected to the power grid. The city also has problems with the Internet and mobile communications.
However, power engineers managed to provide electricians to critical infrastructure facilities.
The situation is slightly better in Kharkiv region. There, as of the evening of March 10, almost all residents have electricity.
The Ukrainian president added that the situation in Zhytomyr remains difficult. Although the power engineers have balanced the system, today there may still be selective blackouts.
In Zaporozhye, everything possible is being done to protect the city’s energy system.
Recall that Russia used a month-long supply of weapons to attack Ukraine on March 9. According to Andrey Yusov, a representative of Ukrainian intelligence, after a massive missile attack on Ukraine, the Russian Armed Forces had 7% of the Kalibr family of missiles from the number available as of February 24, 2022.
In turn, DTEK spoke about the consequences of the enemy attack on March 9 for the energy system of Ukraine. It takes up to two weeks to stabilize the situation in the Zhytomyr region, and several days in the Kharkiv region. The equipment, which had already been repaired after the shelling, was damaged in places.
