On March 10, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) to impose sanctions on 120 individuals and 287 legal entities. Among them was the Ukrainian company Parimatch. The Parimatch team appealed to the president about the decision of the National Security and Defense Council, Facts write.
“Parimatch is a brand that was created by Ukrainians, which is developed by Ukrainians, in which Ukrainians work and own. In March 2021, the company received licenses for betting activities and online casinos. Over 850 million UAH were paid in taxes and fees in two years and royalties to the state budget of Ukraine,” the official statement says.

“This is confirmed by the official conclusion and conclusion of the international law firm Mayer Brown. In addition, in December 2022, the company won a lawsuit to protect business reputation against the media that manipulated and frankly falsified facts in order to destroy business reputation,” the company noted.
They also added that Parimatch LLC on an ongoing basis helps the country in the fight against the enemy and support of the population.
“Permanent assistance is provided by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Territorial Defense Forces, the Main Directorate of Intelligence, the State Border Service, the Special Operations Forces, state and private charitable foundations. The company has numerous state and military commendations, including the President of Ukraine. The total amount of assistance is more than UAH 500 million .”, – the address to the President says.
It also states that pressure has been created on the company, namely: the work of payment systems is blocked, the banking system and its managers are affected; a basis is being created for opening criminal cases under serious articles, such as high treason, the implementation of collaboration activities for company employees and partners; manipulative and unreliable information was repeatedly disseminated in social networks and media, data regarding the company and its owners were falsified in order to destroy the business reputation and cover the company in a negative light.
“We believe that this is a planned campaign against Parimatch LLC and the team, the Parimatch brand and against the entire Ukrainian business as a whole,” the appeal says. Also, the company’s staff turned to the President of Ukraine, who is the guarantor of the observance of the Constitution of Ukraine, the rights and freedoms of man and citizen, with a request to entrust the verification of the stated facts.
“We are ready for a public discussion, ready to answer all questions from the media and law enforcement agencies, and also ready to defend our position in court,” called the Parimatch team.
