Russian troops continue to conduct an offensive in the Lugansk region. According to him, attacks and shelling of the occupiers are carried out constantly. The RF Armed Forces are trying to push through the defenses of the Ukrainian defenders and recapture the de-occupied villages of Stalmakhovka and Nevskoe.
“At the moment, they are not succeeding. But day by day it is different for us, because one day or two or three days in a row there can be large-scale offensives with the help of equipment and infantry. Then, when they lose their personnel and equipment, then on they move back for a day, replenish supplies and attack again,” the head of the UVA said.
Gaidai noted that at the moment it is “more or less quiet” in the direction of Belogorovka, because Russian troops in this area have lost a sufficient amount of weapons and military personnel. In the Svatovsky direction, the situation remains stable.
At the same time, the Russians increased the number of artillery and tank attacks.
Recall that on March 5, Sergei Gaidai said that Russian troops were advancing in two directions in the Luhansk region: in the area of Kremennaya and Belogorovka. Here they are trying to break through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On March 3, the media reported that US generals at the exercises of the Armed Forces of Ukraine identified possible scenarios for a counteroffensive. The Ukrainian command can consider two directions in which counteroffensive actions will be carried out.
