According to the command, “volunteers” will patrol the streets, as well as catch spotters and saboteurs.
In the occupied Simferopol, in Crimea, the Russians began to create “volunteer squads” because of fears of the activation of the pro-Ukrainian movement on the peninsula. This was told at the General Staff in the morning report for March 4.
Due to the all-out war in Ukraine, Crimea is reportedly short of law enforcement officers. Therefore, “volunteer squads” will not only patrol the city, but also catch spotters and saboteurs.
Meanwhile, Russian troops over the past day have focused on the offensive in six directions: Kupyansky, Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdeevsky and Shakhtyorsky.
The command clarified that the Russians are trying to surround Bakhmut, and the Ukrainian defenders repelled attacks in a number of settlements in the area. In the direction of Avdiivka and Shakhtersk, the RF Armed Forces unsuccessfully attacked the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In total, over the past day, the Ukrainian army repulsed 150 attacks by the invaders.
At the same time, Russian troops are on the defensive in the Zaporozhye and Kherson directions. In addition, Ukrainian aviation carried out 14 air strikes on the concentration of the Russian army and military equipment, and 2 more on anti-aircraft missile systems in firing positions.
Ukrainian forces also shot down a Russian Su-34 fighter jet and 8 reconnaissance UAVs.
“Missile and artillery units, in turn, hit the command post, 3 enemy concentration areas, an ammunition depot, 2 fuel depots, and an enemy electronic warfare station,” the General Staff added.
Recall that on March 3, the Vostok OK was told that the RF Armed Forces had dug about 200 kilometers of trenches along the beaches of Crimea. The command noted that the occupiers fear the landing of Ukrainian troops on the peninsula.
On the night of March 2, drones attacked a Russian military unit in Crimea. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the “massive attack” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the destruction of 6 UAVs.
