The celebrity said that she needed to become a fashion model in order to become more confident in herself.
American actress and fashion model Pamela Anderson, 55, said that posing for Playboy for the first time in 1989 was her “first sense of freedom” as she suffered from “debilitating” shyness as a child. She told ET Canada about it.
“I was painfully shy and that shyness was something debilitating,” she explained. “I hated the way I looked, I hated everything. I was so shy and always thought everyone was beautiful and I just didn’t have the confidence in itself”.
The Baywatch star almost missed her opportunity to pose for the October 1989 cover of the magazine, admitting that she initially refused to publish.
“Then I was in Vancouver and Playboy came up to me a few times and I said no. Finally, I was in the situation and I thought, ‘Why not? Let me try it,” said the celebrity.

According to Anderson, when she got to Los Angeles, she was overwhelmed with adrenaline and she was scared.
“Then I did my first photo shoot for Playboy. It was the first flash when I opened my eyes, and it seemed to me that I was falling off a cliff. It really felt like I was just. It was my first sense of freedom,” continued Pamela .
Recall that the latest Netflix documentary – “Pamela, a love story” – was released earlier this year, partly in response to the Hulu series “Pam and Tommy”. The drama stars Lily James as Pamela and tells the story of her rise to fame as well as her relationship with Tommy Lee. Pamela has not approved of the series and her new documentary is seen as an attempt to remedy the situation.
Focus also wrote that Pamela Anderson posed nude for the new issue of Interview Magazine.
