In the West, they believe that Kyiv has time until autumn, after which it will be necessary to increase pressure to return to the negotiating table with Moscow.
Recall, on February 25, the American edition of the WSJ reported that Macron and Scholz, at a meeting with Zelensky in Paris on February 8, told the President of Ukraine about the need to start a peaceful dialogue with the Russian Federation. According to journalists, some high-ranking European officials doubt that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be able to liberate their entire territory.
On February 23, US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland said that Washington was ready for negotiations with Moscow regarding Ukraine only on the basis of the “peace formula” presented by Vladimir Zelensky. She believes that if Ukraine stops fighting, it will cease to exist as a state.
