– If we discard all the nuances, this is what we need now. Because the Jetta is the same Skoda/Volkswagen, but in a slightly simplified form – in terms of functionality, equipment options, in some places in terms of materials. But thanks to this, such cars in China are sold a little cheaper than Skodas and Volkswagens. There was an idea that they would fall into the price niche between the local Chinese brands Chery, Geely, etc. and VW. And if the dealer also withstands the declared prices, it will be absolutely wonderful.
What can stop people. Firstly, the guarantee, and secondly, the availability of spare parts. I think there will be no problems with consumables and parts. But if you “caught up” with someone and damaged the bumper, headlights, radiator grille – that’s another story. But if the dealer also undertakes to ensure the availability of these spare parts in stock, I see only positive things in this whole story. These machines are made qualitatively, at a joint venture and under the control of a German concern. This is good, and it was obvious that sooner or later the Jetta would come to us, at least in this way.
