The reaction of the Ukrainian office of Joma
There is no official comment from the Spanish office yet, but the Ukrainian representative office of Joma issued a statement after it became known about the new form of Zenit.
“We are no less surprised and outraged than you by the news that Joma is becoming a technical sponsor of one of the Russian clubs. Our company is 100% Ukrainian, where real patriots of Ukraine work,” the Ukrainians explained, adding that they had contacted the head office with a request comment.
UAF comment
The Ukrainian Football Association also turned to Joma with a request. Representatives of the UAF hope to get an answer in the near future to the question of how the Joma logo appeared on the new uniform of the Russian team and whether the company’s central office has anything to do with the presentation.
Before, due to the fact that the Spanish company did not have a clear position regarding the exit from the Russian market, the leadership of Lviv “Karpaty” changed the supplier of sports uniforms for all club teams.
Fan comments
After the presentation of the form of “Zenith” in Twitter Joma there were angry comments. Spanish sportswear manufacturers have been called “fascist collaborators” and promised to make sure no one else buys their clothes.

Focus previously reported that fans in Iran unfurled the flag of Ukraine at the match against St. Petersburg Zenit. It was the first match in the history of “blue-white-blue” on Iranian soil. Zenit, like other Russian teams, does not participate in European competitions after the invasion of the Russian Armed Forces into Ukraine and therefore is forced to look for sparring partners in the Middle East.
