The commander of the Ground Forces and the Eastern Group, Colonel-General Alexander Syrsky, visited the Ukrainian positions in Bakhmut. This was reported by the press service of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.
Russian troops do not stop trying to break through the defenses of Bakhmut. Now the invaders have concentrated their efforts on capturing the city and its surroundings. Fights are being fought around Bakhmut and on its outskirts.

The Ukrainian general visited the defenders of the city, Syrsky checked the state of affairs in the units, listened to the commanders regarding problematic issues, and also assisted in solving them. In addition, Colonel-General Syrsky presented awards to the fighters for their stamina and heroism.
We add that in the morning report of the General Staff of February 25, it was indicated that the Russian invaders continue to attack the positions of the Defense Forces in the Bakhmut direction. During the day, there were unsuccessful attacks in the Berkhovka, Ivanovsky and Northern Donetsk regions.
Recall that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that 200 “Kadyrovtsy” were deployed near Bakhmut, who keep the mobilized from desertion.
On February 24, the 93rd Kholodny Yar brigade defeated the Wagner units near Bakhmut.
