There have always been free people in Ukraine, because there have never been coup d’état, according to the Office of the President.
Advisor to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak responded to American businessman Elon Musk, who believes that a coup d’état took place in Ukraine in 2014. He wrote the answer to the founder of SpaceX on his Twitter.
“Free societies influence states through dialogue/elections. Prisoned societies take to the streets to get rid of repressive states. This is the base of Freedom, Elon Musk. There have never been coups in Ukraine, but there have always been free people. Stop reading Russian newspapers,” Podolyak wrote.
American businessman and SpaceX founder Elon Musk has once again angered Ukrainians by repeating Russian propaganda narratives. He called the Revolution of Dignity a “coup”, tweeting about it on February 25.
“These elections (Ukraine’s presidential election in 2010 – ed.) may have been questionable, but there is no doubt that the coup really happened,” Musk wrote.
