We know in particular that the car, a sort of zero-emission S-Class, will be the first star model based on the new EVA modular architecture (Electric Vehicle Architecture) dedicated to luxury electric vehicles.
A high-end and high-tech interior
Endowed with flowing and slender lines, it will be especially worth the trip for its high-end interior and his many technologies.
In particular, it will have a unique 141 cm wide digital instrument panel named Hyperscreen MBUX (optional), of a artificial intelligence system (IA) and a large head-up display corresponding to a 77 inch screen.
Always on board, the EQS will also treat our senses with two sound universes, from new “Energizing Comfort” programs and a large HEPA filter (High Efficiency Particulate Air).
480 hp and 700 km of autonomy?
At this stage, only the technical sheet remains truly mysterious. However, it is said that the EQS should develop a power of approximately 480 hp and 760 Nm of torque, which will allow him to swallow the 0 to 100 km / h in 4.5 seconds. It should also have a 100 kWh battery that will give it a range of around 700 kilometers.
The EQS will be launched this summer
Finally, final information, the car will be produced on the “Factory 56” site of the Sindelfingen plant in Germany. It will be launched in Europe at the end of summer. Subsequently, it will give birth to an SUV version which will for its part be manufactured in Tuscaloosa, in the United States.
