At the end of last year, the head of Stellatis, Carlos Tavares, confirmed that the concern is retooling as part of the planned transition to electric mobility, but at the same time, it is still counting on alternative scenarios in which, for example, customer interest in battery cars will fundamentally decline, and the current European legislation directing to ban internal combustion engines.
In other words, Stellantis has a backup plan up its sleeve, which it implements in part by developing the latest technology so that it can also use classic power units.
