A crossover who “thirst” for adventure and paves the way for the presentation bold electric vehiclestaken from the American ones Ford roots, designed for Europe. This is the new, all-electric, Ford Explorer which will play a leading role on the road for the complete electrification of the range of the company’s passenger vehicles in Europe until 2030.

The first unveiling of the Ford Explorer in Greece took place in September in the AUTOMOBILE exhibition where the Car and Driver was there to bring you all the details. At the same time we had the opportunity to chat at the Ford booth with explorer Lexie Alford who goes around the world in an Explorer.
THE futuristic car exterior design combined with a state-of-the-art interior, with materials and features high gradesuch as the stylish sports seats and a sophisticated sound barwhich is more common in revolutionary concept cars than in family vehicles.
All this is combined with possibility of fast charging from 10 – 80% in just 25 minutes approximately, access, by next year, to 500,000 charging points all over Europe and two versions available with rear or all-wheel drive.
As a reminder, the Explorer is Ford’s first mass-produced electric vehicle at the company’s new EV center in Cologne. Its interior spaces are rich and it can carry comfortably 5 passengers in its cabin. The trunk has a capacity of 470 lt. while indicative of the comfort it offers is that the central console between driver and passenger has a capacity of 17 lt. and can even fit a 15-inch laptop.
The standard equipment it includes is also rich heated front seats and steering wheel, driver’s seat with massage function and climate control that allows front passengers to choose their own temperature. Also there is the SYNC Move for wireless compatibility with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and advanced driver assistance systems which for the first time in Europe include the system Assisted Lane Change.
