For many years, the roads were flooded with cars white, gray, black and silver colorthe colors that are known as “achromatic”. But according to her research BASFa multinational chemical company, this appears to be changing and the first signs are showing in the 2023 figures. Although the 36% of car buyers worldwide “voted” white for their new vehicle, the rate shows decrease compared to previous years.
An increase is observed in black popularitywhich has climbed to 21%which is mainly due to her love Europe and her Africa for darker colored cars, while the corresponding percentage of colors like the Redthe Greenthe blue and coffeeremains constant at 19%.
More specifically, the most popular color in Germany -apart from the achromatic ones- it was the bluewith 11%while in Spain and United Kingdom it was the Red and Orangewith approx 9%. The Italians were the ones who showed their clear love for bright colors, since their market share rose to 30%.
The picture is similar in America and Asia overall, where the white increased its market share, relative to 2022while the most natural colorsAs the Greenalso saw a small increase, mostly in Asian countries.
