Drones equipped with thermal imagers allow Ukrainian special forces to track down and attack Russians even in the dark.
On the night of March 18, operators of the Special Operations Center “A” hit 11 units of Russian equipment in the Donetsk direction. The Security Service of Ukraine released a video of the operation on its Facebook page.
The White Wolves special forces group hunted enemy vehicles using drones equipped with thermal imagers and armed with cumulative grenades. Thanks to their high accuracy, they managed to hit 10 tanks of the RF Armed Forces, and an armored personnel carrier became a bonus.
The special forces managed to capture all the attacks on drone cameras. In the video, you can see that the fall of ammunition was accompanied by powerful explosions. It is not known in what condition the armored vehicles of the Russians and their crews were left after the strikes, but the SBU assures that the tanks and armored personnel carriers are out of order.

Special Operations Center “A” regularly arranges night sorties, and each time achieves a better result. For example, on the night of March 2, SBU drones destroyed 6 tanks of the RF Armed Forces. And on the night of March 4, the number of equipment hit by UAVs increased to 8 units.
Meanwhile, the 72nd Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is using drones to destroy Russian tanks on the front lines. Recently, they showed how they bombard enemy combat vehicles with grenades of various types, and one of them hit right in the open hatch and caused a fire, which completely disabled the equipment.
In addition to tanks and armored personnel carriers, Ukrainian UAVs hit the surveillance complexes of the RF Armed Forces called “Murom”. One of these was blown up at the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station using the FPV drone Falcon Avanger. As explained in the Stugna battalion, such equipment tracks the movements of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and interferes with offensive operations.
