Search and rescue operations at the site of the Russian missile’s arrival are still ongoing. The communal services have already removed 333 tons of debris from the building.
As of 22.00 on March 3, at least 7 people were known to have died as a result of a missile attack by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on a residential building in Zaporozhye on the night of March 2. This was reported in the press service of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye region.
The department noted that the removal of debris is still ongoing. Rescuers are looking for potential victims, dismantling the remains of the destroyed building. In total, public utilities have already removed 333 tons of debris from the house.
“The forces of the State Emergency Service units managed to save 11 people, evacuate another 20. Rescuers released 7 dead from under the rubble of the house,” the ministry said in a statement.
It is also reported that 225 people used the heating point deployed by the State Emergency Service, 92 people asked for psychological help.
A total of 110 people and 21 pieces of equipment were involved in the elimination of the consequences of the tragedy.
Recall that on the night of March 2, the Russian invaders launched a missile attack on Zaporozhye, as a result of which a multi-storey residential building was damaged. The secretary of the Zaporozhye city council, Anatoly Kurtev, noted that the rocket almost completely destroyed the five-story building.

Earlier, on March 1, the RF Armed Forces also attacked 5 territorial communities of the Sumy region: Novoslobodskaya, Krasnopolskaya, Esmanskaya, Shalyginskaya and Belopolskaya. The shelling was carried out from barrel artillery of 152 mm caliber and mortars.
On the night of March 1, Russian troops also launched Iranian Shahed kamikaze drones across Ukraine. According to the head of the Poltava OVA, Dmitry Lunin, at least 5 UAVs were shot down by air defense forces.
