A draft law on garage amnesty is under consideration in the State Duma. It involves the abolition of the obligation to provide a technical plan for a structure in the event that information about it is already available in the USRN.
This measure will reduce the financial burden on people, the explanatory note to the project says.
The execution of such a plan, according to experts, depending on the dimensions of the garage and the subject of the Federation, can cost up to 15 thousand rubles. As Alexander Yakubovsky, a member of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing and Public Utilities, noted, it is important to consistently reduce the bureaucratic and financial burden on people in exercising their property rights.

On the other hand, one of the main tasks of the garage amnesty is to streamline the market for such objects in the country. And if the garage was built before 2004, then from that time on, the owners could finish building them at their discretion. The new technical plan is designed to track such manipulations.
The garage amnesty will last until September 2026. True, so far, according to Rosreestr, garage owners are in no hurry to use it.
