The Agreement will last until June 30, 2024. Ukrainian carriers will not need to obtain permits for bilateral and transit traffic to the EU countries.
The agreement on “transport visa-free travel” between Ukraine and the European Union has been extended for another year. This was reported in the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
The agreement on the liberalization of road freight transport continued until June 30, 2024. Thanks to this document, Ukrainian carriers no longer need permission for bilateral and transit traffic to the EU countries.
For the first time, “transport visa-free” was signed in June 2022. The main reason was the system of permits for cargo transport, due to which the total number of transports was insufficient.
Immediately after its inception, the Agreement proved its effectiveness. In June 2022, the number of Ukrainian carriers that crossed the border of the European Union increased by 53% compared to the same period in 2021. At the same time, the number of intersections itself increased by 43%.
