According to Petr Andryushchenko, the Russian Buk anti-aircraft missile system with the occupation symbols “V” was seen on the side of the road in one of the residential areas of the city.
The Russian Armed Forces parked the Buk air defense system in the civilian area of Mariupol. This was announced on March 16 by the adviser to the mayor Petr Andryushchenko.
“Why not? One residential building has already been burned with rubble, apparently, they liked it. Then the version about cylinders, cranes, airplanes – everything is according to plan,” the official wrote.
According to the Ukrainian Military Center, the Buk is a multifunctional, highly mobile medium-range anti-aircraft missile system. This technique can destroy strategic and tactical aircraft, cruise missiles, helicopters and other air targets. Such air defense systems are used for air defense.
Recall that March 16 was the anniversary of the tragedy in the Mariupol Drama Theatre. Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that not a single destroyed life will be forgiven the occupiers. According to him, Ukraine is getting closer to Russia being held responsible for what they have done.
On the same day, an adviser to the mayor of Mariupol reported that explosions had been heard in the region. According to him, the occupiers lost the warehouse, which had been stubbornly formed for several weeks. The official said that after the explosions, the RF Armed Forces raised helicopters.
Also on March 16, Azov fighter Serhiy Tsisaruk told on social networks how he was seriously wounded in Mariupol. A soldier with the call sign “Molfar” survived the shelling of a military hospital and passed the siege of “Azovstal”. “I looked down and saw that the leg was broken in the shin area, twisted to the other side, and I was leaning on the bone,” the defender of Ukraine recalled on social networks.
