According to the Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the reserve Roman Svitan, due to the difficult situation on the front line, the Russians are often forced to use aviation, against which the air siren began to sound more often in Ukrainian cities.
The armed forces of the Russian Federation cannot conduct offensive operations in Ukraine during the spring thaw and lack shells. In this regard, the Russian Armed Forces began to use aviation, which led to daily air raids, military expert Roman Svitan said in an interview with Unian on March 15.
“The Russians loaded along the front line, loaded in the Donetsk region, loaded in the Lugansk region, parts of the Kharkov region, that is, they cannot advance,” Svitan stated.
The expert noted that Russian troops are on the defensive in the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, and they are making attempts to attack in two more directions. According to him, the Russian forces include the aviation component during the slush, as it does not depend on the weather.
Roman Svitan on air raid alerts
“In order to raise the degree of infliction of combat defeat, they have now begun to use aviation,” Roman Svitan explained.
According to a military expert, the RF Armed Forces use MiG-31k aircraft that can carry Kinzhal-type missiles. Fighters can fly for training purposes, but in Ukraine at this time the air raid warning is still sounding.
“The Russians carry out certain military operations, and they wouldn’t do it just like that, because one plane takes off is very expensive,” the expert concluded.
Recall that on the night of March 9, the Russian Armed Forces launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine with missiles of various types. Among other things, the Russians used 6 Kh-47 Kinzhal missiles.
According to Yuri Ignat, speaker of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on March 10, since the beginning of the full-scale war, the Russian Armed Forces have fired about 20 Kinzhal hypersonic missiles in Ukraine. At the moment, Russia has less than 50 missiles of this type.
