BMW is working on a new electric car based on the 5 Series model, which will be available in several versions. This was reported on the Carscoops website.
The BMW i5 sedan and wagon have been officially confirmed. The first teaser shows the silhouette of the novelty, which is almost identical to the ICE sedan.
It is known that the BMW i5 will receive a charged Performance version from BMW M GmbH. A full-fledged M-model has not yet been announced.

The novelty will be equipped with a fake grille to maintain a recognizable design. The interior will house a curved display, which will be one of the largest in the brand’s lineup.
According to rumors, the top version of the BMW i5 will offer a power plant with two electric motors with a total power of over 600 hp. The maximum power reserve will be more than 500 km on a single charge.
