The company continues to work to cope with the consequences of another Russian missile attack, but shutdowns in some cities are still possible.
Ukrenergo continues to work to restore the Ukrainian energy system after the 15th massive missile attack and the 18th attack by kamikaze drones. This is stated in the company’s press release for Sunday, March 12.
In the Zhytomyr and Kharkiv regions, Ukrainian power engineers have almost completely returned electricity to household consumers over the past day, but in Kharkiv, emergency shutdowns are again applied from the very morning due to system overload. The press service of the Kharkiv metro noted that they had to temporarily stop the movement of trains because of this
Also, due to network restrictions, disconnections are possible in the Kharkiv region.
“In other regions, energy consumption restrictions were not applied, no limits were introduced. The volumes of electricity produced in the system are sufficient to cover the needs of all consumers. The current restrictions in the regions are network ones and are caused solely by damage to the energy infrastructure due to massive enemy rocket attacks on March 9,” — the message says.
Employees of the Ukrainian energy system continue to work to eliminate the consequences of another act of terrorism by the Russian Federation. At the same time, it is worth noting that, compared to last weekend, consumption has decreased significantly, as reported by Ukrenergo.
Recall that on March 9 in the Zhytomyr region, the blackout schedules were returned. These are the next consequences of a missile attack by the Russian Federation. Some consumers will not have light for half a day. However, some residents of the region may not turn off electricity at all.
Ukrenergo also spoke about the consequences of the enemy attack on March 9. It takes up to two weeks to stabilize the situation in the Zhytomyr region, and several days in the Kharkiv region. The equipment, which had already been repaired after the shelling, was damaged in places.
