Placki in Hungarian are pancakes in which goulash is wrapped
Hungarian potato pancakes are not considered as a separate dish. They go only in combination with goulash – the real king of Hungarian cuisine. And since the preparation of goulash is not a quick process, it can and should be done in advance. Well, the dances themselves, that is, potato pancakes, should be made on the day when you really want to taste this dish, which we prepare according to the picantecooking.com recipe.

In the same pan, fry the onion and sweet pepper, diced. Add quartered mushrooms. When they are fried, add the diced tomatoes. Stew for 5 minutes. Return the meat to the pan, add chopped garlic, cover and simmer for an hour. After that, add tomato paste and paprika, hold for 10 minutes, sprinkle with herbs … That’s it – the goulash is ready!
Now we make pancakes. We rub the potatoes on a grater, let the liquid drain. Mix potatoes, chopped onion, egg, 4 tablespoons flour, salt and pepper. Fry large potato pancakes in a pan in vegetable oil on both sides.
