Tartar sauce is one of the most popular in Ukrainian cuisines along with mayonnaise and ketchup. This is a classic sauce of French cuisine, the main components of which are hard-boiled egg yolk, vegetable oil and green onions. Most often it is served with fish dishes, the taste of which it emphasizes well, but recently the sauce goes well with nuggets, grilled chicken and even french fries. Housewives prepare it in different ways: someone on mayonnaise, someone on fat sour cream. We offer to prepare the sauce according to the recipe from the blog “Easy Recipes for Every Day”.
mayonnaise – 100 gr; pickled cucumbers – 2 pcs. medium size; garlic – 3 cloves; dill – a small bunch.
Pour mayonnaise into a blender bowl, add chopped cucumbers, dill and garlic passed through a press, grind everything until smooth. The sauce is ready. Before serving, it is better to let it brew for 20 minutes so that it gains flavor.
Another version of tartare is with sour cream and gherkins.
sour cream 20% – 100 gr; mayonnaise – 100 gr; pickled gherkins – 6 pcs; fresh dill – 1 small bunch; garlic – 2 cloves; salt; boiled yolk; freshly ground pepper;
Finely chop all the ingredients and beat with a blender. If there is no blender, then grate the gherkins on a fine grater, pass the garlic through a press, finely chop the dill, mash the egg yolk, pour everything with sour cream, salt, pepper and mix well. You can add mustard seeds if you like. Let it brew for half an hour.
