According to the coordinator of the Security Council of the presidential administration, John Kirby, Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko will continue to provide the territory of the country for Russian aggression.
The White House has not received intelligence confirming that Belarus is ready to take a direct part in the hostilities in Ukraine. John Kirby, coordinator of the White House Security Council, announced this on March 7, Ukrinform reports.
“We have not seen any signs that the Belarusian military or the Belarusian government are planning to more tangibly support Russia in terms of sending its troops into battle in Ukraine,” the Security Council coordinator said.
At the same time, Kirby noted that the Lukashenka regime will continue to provide its territory to Russia for aggression against Ukraine.
“The Russians continue to use Belarus as a transshipment base and a place from where they can and continue to strike at the territory of Ukraine,” Kirby said.
Belarus is drawn into the war against Ukraine
Recall, on March 7, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleg Nikolenko said that Alexander Lukashenko is trying to justify support for Russian aggression, therefore he accuses Ukraine of blowing up a Russian plane at the Machulishchi airfield.
On March 7, during the ceremony of presenting state awards, the Belarusian leader announced the detention of “a terrorist of the Ukrainian special services and his accomplices” in Belarus. According to him, it was the detainees who were involved in the attack on the Russian AWACS A-50 military aircraft. Lukashenko said that 2 Chinese drones that flew to the airfield were allegedly bought in the United States and sent to Ukraine. He is sure that “a complex special operation using the highest technologies” was carried out in Machulishchi.
However, the dictator did not rest on this. On March 7, Lukashenka called Zelensky “g***y” and said that “the challenge has been thrown.” The self-proclaimed president added that such operations are not carried out without the consent of the army commander in chief.
