China needs to make better use of technology, science and industry so that it doesn’t have to rely on other countries, Xi Jinping said.

“China needs to make better use of defense science, technology and industry to strengthen its military and win wars,” the Chinese leader was quoted as saying.
Xi Jinping urged Chinese laboratories to speed up their research on technologies that can be used in the military. According to him, this is necessary so that the country does not have to rely on other states.
The head of China also emphasized that military supply chains must be more resilient and spoke of the need to expand infrastructure and build national reserves for defense tasks.
Xi says the military should work to address “strategic risks,” but he didn’t specify what he meant.
