“The measure, based on article 1438 of the Civil Code, defines: “Spouses will contribute to maintaining the burden of marriage. In the absence of an agreement, they will do so in proportion to their economic resources. Housework will be calculated as a contribution to expenses and give the right to receive compensation, which the judge will indicate, in the absence of an agreement, for the abolition of the separation regime, ”explained lawyer Rocio Sio.
It also became known that the order for the couple’s divorce was issued by the Sixth Chamber of the Provincial Court of the city of Pontevedra. The man did not appeal against this measure, and for this reason Ivanna Moral became the first citizen to receive such compensation.
