Keanu Reeves took part in a marathon of questions and answers from fans on Reddit and told a lot of interesting things.
Before the premiere of the fourth John Wick movie, Keanu Reeves talked to fans on Reddit. The actor tried to honestly answer questions and a lot of interesting things turned out about him.
For example, it turned out that Reeves is no stranger to the passion of actors to take something from the set as a memento. As souvenirs, he took John Wick’s watch and wedding ring, the sword from the movie “47 Ronin” and “the first red pill that the Wachowskis gave me” from the filming of the cult movie “The Matrix”.

One of the moderators wrote that he appreciated the actor’s work and admired his kindness and generosity, as well as everything that makes Keanu amazing, alluding to his famous performance at the premiere of Cyberpunk 2077 in 2019, when he responded to a shout from the audience, saying, that everyone in the room is amazing. And then he asked what amazing thing someone had done for him lately.

“The fact that you called me cool was the last example of what someone did for me. And a few weeks ago my motorcycle broke down, and my friend told me how to fix it on Facetime,” the actor replied.
When asked if he would go to the Hot Ones show, where celebrities eat spicy food and answer frank questions, Keanu said that although he loves chicken wings, he definitely doesn’t want to eat spicy wings in public, and then experience the consequences.
He also admitted that he would have eaten pizza with pineapples if the pineapples were fried and talked about his favorite dishes that bring him back to childhood. They were: shepherd’s pie, macaroni and cheese, peanut butter and honey sandwich.
And when asked which cocktail he prefers, Keanu Reeves told a whole story.
“I was working in Tokyo recently and I was taken to a High Five bar owned by a cocktail master named Ueno-san and he made some sublime concoction with smoky mezcal, green tea and some mysterious chilled sweet liquor. It was like this delicious,” the actor said.
Speaking about the movie and his roles, Keanu Reeves admitted that he does not regret any role, but he always wanted to play Wolverine.

And also, like his fans, he hopes that the second part of the film “Konstantin” will be shot. He would also like to star in David Fincher and play in a musical.
“Yes, I would like to act in a musical, but I can’t sing, so I’m not sure if anyone else would want me to play in a musical, but I will definitely try. I mean, I could sing,” joked Keanu.
Speaking about new works, Keanu admitted that the hardest thing was to shoot in the fourth part of “John Wick”, because there were a lot of action scenes. And he joked that it was in honor of Wick that a new biological compound that kills bacteria should have been named. Researchers in Germany named it after Reeves: keanumycins, explaining that they are just as deadly as he is in his films.
“They should have called them John Wick, but it’s cool and surreal. Thanks to the scientists for what they are doing,” the actor commented on the news.
Recalling the cult film “Point Break”, Keanu Reeves said that he really enjoyed working with Patrick Swayze.
“He was a gentleman and a brilliant professional, a movie star and an inspiration,” the actor said.

But he himself admitted that if he had not become an actor, then now he would be attracted to the work of a conductor. Although as a child he wanted to be a racer, a conductor or an astrophysicist.
Speaking about childhood, the actor revealed that his first pet was a guinea pig named Carrot. “I was 5 or 6 years old. He was a cutie,” recalled Keanu Reeves.
And when one user asked Keanu to tell aliens if they came to Earth, it turned out that the actor would be very hospitable.
“I would ask, how are you? How’s the trip? Are you hungry? Would you like something to drink?” the actor joked. And when asked about meetings with the paranormal, he told a story that happened to him in childhood.
“When I was a little kid, I was sitting in a room with a nanny and I thought I saw a ghost at the door and I looked at my nanny and she looked very scared. I didn’t know what the hell was going on,” Keanu said.
He also recommended that his fans read The Passenger and Stella Maris by Cormac McCarthy. And among his favorite films he named “A Clockwork Orange” and “The Wizard of Oz”.
The most difficult question was the one in which he was asked to name his favorite film he worked on: “Oooooh, I can’t pick just one, but here are some of them: “Riverside”, “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure” , The Matrix trilogy, The Devil’s Advocate, The Blurred, My Own Private Idaho, Point Break, John Wick.
And Keanu Reeves was also pleased with his work on the game in Cyberpunk 2077, where he played the role of rebellious rocker Johnny Silverhand.
“I love Johnny Silverhand and I think all the guys at CD Projekt are fucking awesome! Video games are fun! And it’s great how technology and storytelling is evolving in this space,” the actor said.
And describing one of his ideal days, Keanu remembered the filming of the film “My Own Private Idaho”, in which he played along with River Phoenix.
“I had a scene with River Phoenix and he was in the back seat of the motorcycle I was driving during filming. We got a bit off the beaten path and came back without helmets. Just two friends having a great time. It was a really good day,” Keanu admitted.
He called Paris his favorite city, where he starred in the film Dangerous Liaisons.
And when asked if the matrix is real, Keanu cryptically replied “Yes. No. Yes.”
When asked about his hobbies, the actor said that he enjoys motorcycles, typewriters, Japanese whiskey, playing in a band, learning, reading and good red wine.

He also admitted that nothing compares to the kung fu training from The Matrix because it was a unique experience, but jiu-jitsu in John Wick, combined with judo and gunfights, also has its advantages.
Asked about the best advice he’s ever received, Keanu said he didn’t get that much advice, but met quite a few people who set a good example. And it was perseverance.
And finally, Keanu admitted that he was not averse to sailing across the ocean, and he became compassionate, realizing that everyone needs help.
