The Ukrainian defense ministry called on citizens not to become victims of Russian suggestions and to critically evaluate every information about the war.
Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar spoke about the information weapons of the Russian Federation, which are now actively used against Ukraine. She wrote her opinion on this matter in her own Telegram channel.
According to the employee of the department, the information struggle of the Russian Federation today is aimed at only two goals and they look like this:
Discrediting Ukraine on the recipient of weapons; Disruption of mobilization and the process of concluding contracts for service.
There is an explanation for this, since weapons and the people who use them are what “the enemy fears the most.” The first goal of the information campaign is aimed at the Western reader in order to discredit Ukraine in the eyes of an ally, and the second one is aimed at Ukrainians in order to destabilize the situation in society, Anna Malyar noted.
“In order not to become a victim of these suggestions, you need to critically evaluate any information from unofficial sources, check the authenticity and ask yourself questions – “what is the purpose of disseminating such information,” the message says.
Information campaign of the Russian Federation against Ukraine
One of the cases occurred in the occupied territory of Donbass. Russian propagandists filmed a story about “ammunition” allegedly used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The heroine of the video complains that such things arrive every five minutes and they are extremely dangerous. Later it turned out that in fact this is a spare part from a car, which clearly cannot be ammunition.
Recall that on March 6, Ukraine’s allies approached solving the problem of supplying ammunition for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. One part of the EU’s plan is to provide European armed companies with the necessary funding, journalists say.
