According to journalists, Igor Tkachuk, deputy head of the Odesa OVA, like his predecessor, is suspected of corruption.
The Security Service of Ukraine has detained Igor Tkachuk, Deputy Chairman of the Odessa Regional Civil-Military Administration. This was announced by the head of the Odessa OVA Maxim Marchenko on his Telegram channel.
“Together with law enforcement agencies, we continue to purify all leaders who still do not understand exactly how they should perform their official duties, and even more so during the war,” the official wrote.
Marchenko also added that an investigation is currently underway, and the details of Tkachuk’s arrest will be announced later.
“I emphasize once again that we will never agree with any illegal activity of persons, regardless of the position they hold,” Maxim Marchenko concluded.

According to the publication “Dumskaya”, Igor Tkachuk was detained on suspicion of corruption. This was reported to journalists in the prosecutor’s office.
What is known about Igor Tkachuk
Igor Tkachuk took over as head of the Odessa Regional State Administration in October last year. Since February 2022, Tkachuk has acted as Deputy Director of the State Enterprise Sea Trade Port Chornomorsk for general issues.
From 2018 to 2019, he was the chairman of the apparatus of the Odessa Regional State Administration. In 2020, he ran for deputies of the Odessa District Council of the VIII convocation from the For Future party.
Recall that on January 5, the press service of the SBU announced the arrest of Oleg Muratov, deputy head of the Odesa OVA. According to the department, the official offered his colleague to provide “assistance” in avoiding criminal liability for misappropriation of state property.
Earlier, on February 27, the SBU also reported the arrest in Odessa of the organizer of the Russian intelligence network, who turned out to be an assistant to one of the “deputies of the Crimean parliament” Konstantin Malchikov.
