The Arab countries of the Persian Gulf are dissatisfied with the pressure of the United States, which demanded that they isolate the Russian Federation and produce more oil, so they agree to cooperate with the aggressor country.
Russia is increasingly cooperating with the United Arab Emirates to sell its energy carriers after Western sanctions effectively blocked the European market for Russia to sell oil and oil products. This is reported by Reuters.
According to the publication, since November 2022, about 1.5 million barrels of Russian oil have been sent to the UAE.
It is completely unknown when the UAE began importing Russian oil, but tanker tracking data indicates that volumes have risen since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
It is noted that the Kremlin continues to work on improving cooperation with leading oil producers in the Persian Gulf, such as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The Arab countries of the Persian Gulf are dissatisfied with the pressure of the United States, which demanded that they isolate the Russian Federation and produce more oil, so they agree to cooperate with the aggressor country.
For example, Saudi Arabia imports significant amounts of Russian fuel oil to be burned in its power plants, freeing up more crude oil for export. Meanwhile, Russia has a new market for both oil and petroleum products, albeit at reduced prices.
Russia split the global oil market in two
While Europe refuses Russian energy carriers, importers from Asia continue to make deals with the Russian Federation. For example, China increased its imports of Russian oil to 1.9 billion barrels per day on average over the past year, up 19% from a year earlier, according to the International Energy Agency.
Deliveries to India have increased 9 times, to 900,000 barrels per day. Oil deliveries to India and China were record highs in January. At the same time, according to CNN, Russian oil, despite the sanctions, continues to receive importers from all over the world. And even those who closely follow the supplies cannot say for sure who these mysterious suppliers of Russian “black gold” are.
Earlier, Focus reported that, according to Bloomberg estimates, the Russian Federation is sending its oil to storage in Africa, since the Chinese and Indian markets of Russia are not enough to sell all the oil it produces.
As reported, the war in Ukraine will continue to devastate the Russian economy, and by 2026 it will lose 190 billion dollars.
