11 people were rescued. Four cats and a dog were also pulled out from under the rubble.
On the evening of March 5, rescuers completed the removal of the rubble of a high-rise building, which was destroyed during a rocket attack by the Russian Armed Forces on the night of March 2. This was announced by the head of the State Emergency Service Serhiy Kruk on his Facebook page.
“The demolition of the rubble of the destroyed high-rise building has been completed. Unfortunately, 13 people died, one of them is a small child. Sincere condolences to the family,” Kruk wrote.
The head of the State Emergency Service also thanked everyone who took part in the liquidation of the consequences of the missile attack on Zaporozhye. These are rescuers, a mobile task force of specialists from Kyiv, psychologists and the Mobile Rescue Rapid Response Center.
“Each of you has a big heart and is doing an important thing – saving a life,” Crook summed up.
The State Emergency Service also showed how the rubble was cleared at the site of a collapsed multi-storey building.

According to rescuers, utilities removed more than 1,034 tons of construction debris from the site of the tragedy. And the psychologists of the State Emergency Service in the city of the incident provided assistance to 103 residents of the house and relatives of the victims.

Recall, on the night of March 2, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched a missile attack on the city of Zaporozhye, as a result of which a multi-storey residential building was damaged. According to the Zaporizhzhya OVA, the attack on a residential building was likely carried out by Russian S-300 missiles.
Focus also wrote that a girl named Ekaterina spent at least 5 hours under the ruins of a house destroyed by the Russians in Zaporozhye. She said that during her stay under the rubble, she hugged the cat and took pictures on her mobile phone.
