According to relatives, inept infantrymen of the RF Armed Forces are forced to storm fortified areas with almost no support from artillery and armored vehicles.
Residents of the Irkutsk and Orenburg regions turned to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a request to save their mobilized relatives from death in the war in Ukraine. The videos were published on Telegram by the Russian media Astra.
Mobilized storm Avdiivka
In their video message, women from the Irkutsk region reported that their relatives were called up a few days ago and poisoned as part of military unit No. 95380 (motorized rifle regiment 1439) in the village of Opytnoe, Donetsk region, located near Avdiivka. The day before, the recruits managed to get through to their relatives and report that they were surrounded by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the command left them to their fate: they did not give reinforcements and forbade them to leave their positions.
“Our men for several days without food, without water, with machine guns alone, survive under constant enemy fire, there are wounded and dead who cannot even be taken from the battlefield. Help save those who can still be saved. Send additional forces to the guys, organize evacuation,” the Russians asked Vladimir Putin.
Recruits are killed by militants “DNR”
A similar appeal was recorded by residents of the Orenburg region, whose relatives underwent combat coordination at the base of the air defense training ground in Nizhnyaya Pavlovka and were sent to the Donetsk region of Ukraine on January 19, 2023. According to them, the command of the military unit 42600 of the 110th motorized rifle brigade of the 2nd battalion handed over the mobilized Russians to the so-called “People’s Militia of the DPR”, which sent newcomers to storm the fortifications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “as to slaughter”: without proper training, with weak support from artillery and intelligence. On several occasions, Russian heavy equipment leading the assault groups left the battlefield after several salvos due to lack of shells.
“They don’t even have schematic maps to navigate the terrain. As a result, they go on an assault blindly, not knowing how to act and not knowing how to act, who and where of them is, not knowing the withdrawal plan,” the women shared. . “Our relatives are in a hopeless situation, as they are considered expendable. And we got the impression that the command is indifferent to the lives of our sons, husbands, and brothers.”
They added that the Russian Armed Forces are suffering heavy losses in killed and wounded, while the fighters are not disclosed information about the real state of affairs in the war, which is why the units are losing even more personnel. The command, on the other hand, sends new batches of mobilized to the front every two months. The Russians suggested that the “DPR” militants do not know how to control the troops and cover up “holes” in their units with recruits after losses.
“One gets the impression that our relatives are being used as cannon fodder, and this is not an empty phrase. They do not refuse to serve, but they understand that their presence on the front lines is pointless and tantamount to suicide,” the appeal says.
In February, mobilized from the Irkutsk region complained to Vladimir Putin about violations by the command of the RF Armed Forces. Of these, they allegedly formed assault units and sent them into battle without preparation. Governor Igor Kobzev promised that Irkutsk citizens would be transferred to a new duty station. And on March 1, it became known that they were thrown to storm the Avdeevsky fortified area in the Donetsk region.
On March 3, relatives of the Russians told the media that the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed almost the entire regiment, consisting of mobilized residents of the Irkutsk region. Most of the soldiers were killed or missing, a few were injured and ended up in hospitals.
