The representative of Ukraine did not manage to get into the top 21 at Miss Eco International, but the criticism of commentators on social networks was associated with another factor.
A participant in the beauty contest “Miss Eco International” from Ukraine got into a scandal by taking a photo with a representative of the Russian Federation. Publications appeared on the pages of girls in social networks, but were later deleted, reports “Observer”.
On February 21, a beauty contest called “Miss Eco International” started in Egypt and 30 girls from all over the world took part in it, including Ukrainian Anastasia Lahuta. On March 3, the next stage of the event passed and the native of Kharkov failed to get into the top 21, but managed to get into a scandal.
The girl took a photo next to Russian woman Evgenia Parmenova and Egyptian TV presenter Yasmine Saed posted it on her page on the social network Facebook. The publication says: “With Miss Russia and Miss Ukraine, friendship that does not recognize war” and Anastasia Lakhuta reposted.

This caused a negative reaction in the comments and the girl had to apologize later.
“My dear Ukrainians! I want to apologize to everyone. I myself have relatives in Ukraine and I help them. I help our soldiers. But it was a beauty contest. And one man did it for PR. I will deal with this now. And everyone I want to say, I love Ukraine and my relatives! And I am proud of the people who are at war and also send help,” Anastasia Lakhuta writes in the comments on Instagram.

The Egyptian woman also deleted her post after a while.
Recall, on February 3, Russian media reported that a Miss Universe participant from the Russian Federation was hiding in the United States and receiving threats. Anna Linnikova admitted that she even had to hire security for her safety.
