The ring was made by the famous jeweler Lorraine Schwartz. And according to rumors, Megan received a large pink diamond from someone from the “Middle East”. In 2021, Meghan and Harry stated that there was nothing mysterious or questionable about the ring because the ring was received by the stylist on set directly from the designer and that there was no connection to the mysterious donor in the Middle East. After they refuted their own statement, saying that it was about a different ring, but did not explain where the pink diamond came from.
If the diamonds did indeed come from the Middle East, it’s unclear if Meghan received the gift while she was still a working member of the royal family, or after she completed her last official duties in early March 2021. She did not officially visit the region, but there was always the possibility that she made a private trip.
Buckingham Palace only releases a list of gifts received by members of the royal family while serving in the UK or abroad, and there is no public record of Meghan being given any diamonds. Gifts sent to members of the royal family outside of formal occasions are recorded but not made public.
