Ambassador to the OSCE Michael Carpenter warned that the Kremlin’s goals for Belarus and Ukraine are the same. Alexander Lukashenko calls it “rumors” and boasts of friendly relations with Vladimir Putin.
The West is trying to quarrel Russia and Belarus, so it spreads information about the takeover of the latter. Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko told journalists about this on February 25.
Journalists from a number of Western media received a document “Strategic goals of the Russian Federation in the Belarusian direction”, which was developed in 2021. According to the data, Russia plans to seize Belarus until 2030.
“Russia’s goals in relation to Belarus are the same as in relation to Ukraine. In the case of Belarus, Russia relies on coercion, not war,” commented US Ambassador to the OSCE Michael Carpenter.
Lukashenka replied that the two countries “just want to split it up again”, so this topic arose.

“There is nothing alive in this. You know my position, it is unchanged: we are an independent sovereign state. Being independent, sovereign, who stands next to Russia? Nobody but Belarus. What else do you need,” the Belarusian dictator said.
According to him, Russian President Vladimir Putin understands these issues in exactly the same way.
“I’ll tell you a secret: last night we talked with him for a long time on various topics. God forbid that our relationship should always be like that. And after me, that they be like that. And that our children live in such conditions. Therefore, do not listen to this nonsense and chatter. He was born to split us,” the Belarusian leader explained.
The document on Russia’s strategy could have been 3 years ago, when the formation of integration maps was discussed, the head of state said.
“Why part of Russia? Let Russia become part of Belarus… The document is ancient, no one hid it, probably. Where were they? Why didn’t they say it before?” Lukashenka asked.
Recall that Lukashenka is going to visit China on February 28 and meet with its leader Xi Jinping. They will discuss the “most acute” international problems and want to sign a large package of documents.
In Belarus, they plan to assemble a people’s militia, together with the police, they will protect public order. The number of brigades can reach up to 150 thousand people.
On February 12, Lukashenka announced the readiness of the army of the republic to invade Ukraine together with the RF Armed Forces if foreign troops enter the territory of Belarus. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called these threats a big mistake.
