Kyiv region
The “air raid” signal sounded in Kyiv at 23:19. At about 12 midnight, the telegram channel of the Kyiv OVA reported that hostile air targets were recorded in the region and that air defense was ready to destroy them. Citizens were urged to stay in shelters. A few minutes later they reported on the operation of the air defense system.
“Air defense is working in the Kyiv region. Do not neglect security measures! Remain calm and trust information only from official sources.” – the message says.
The head of the OP, Andriy Yermak, wrote in a telegram channel: “The air defense already has positive results of work. There are still targets in the sky, be careful. Brovarsky and Boryspil districts are air defense.”
Chernihiv region
At about 12 midnight OK “Sever” reported that one “Shahed” was shot down in the Chernihiv region.
A few minutes later, Ukrainian defenders reported shooting down two more enemy UAVs. Subsequently, the operational command reported the beating of two more drones.
The head of the Chernihiv OVA, Vyacheslav Chaus, said that the area was attacked by “Shaheds”, the air defense was working successfully.
“Air defense is the best,” he wrote.
Khmelnitsky region
Russian invaders attacked the city of Khmelnitsky with drones. Several explosions were recorded after 2 a.m. The information was confirmed by the head of the Khmelnytsky OVA Serhiy Gamaly.
“There was an explosion in Khmelnytsky. Details over time. Another explosion! Stay in shelters! Another explosion!” he wrote.
Local media reported that a fire broke out at the site of the hits.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that over the past day, the Russians launched 5 missile and 13 air strikes on the territory of Ukraine, 2 of which were using Shahed-136 UAVs against civilian infrastructure. Both drones are down. The enemy also carried out more than 50 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems, in particular, on civilian infrastructure in Kherson and Donbass.
Earlier, Focus reported that on February 26, Ukrainian defenders in the Donetsk region shot down an enemy Su-25 attack aircraft and captured the pilot. This was announced by the People’s Deputy Musa Magomedov.
