Many vans in 2023 performed worse in safety tests than they did last year. One of the models was marked “Not Recommended”.
EuroNCAP has updated its commercial van safety tests. The results were worse than last year. This was reported on the website of the organization.
In 2023, EuroNCAP has updated its security screening rating system. It obliges to check the effectiveness of ADAS systems or electronic collision avoidance systems.
All vans were tested at half load capacity. This made it possible to determine the optimal results of the security systems.
Only two vans received the gold award. No model was able to earn a platinum mark.

In second place is the Ford Transit. The security systems of this model were 60% effective.
Mercedes-Benz Vito in 2023 changed gold to silver. The experts said that the effectiveness of security systems was 48%.
Many vans were awarded bronze. Nissan Interstar and did received the mark “Not Recommended”.
